Charles Call received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering with Highest Honors from Montana State University in 1985. He received a M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 1992 after a brief employment at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Zaragoza, Spain focused on spray atomization, and has 25 years of experience in fluids and fluidic systems engineering. In 1997, Dr. Call was admitted into Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s Entrepreneurial Leave of Absence program to launch MesoSystems Technology, Inc. Under his leadership, the company of 35 employees developed, marketed and produced innovative new products and technologies for chem/bio defense and national security such as the BioCapture® handheld air sampler and the AirSentinel® bio-threat sensor. Dr. Call was the PI on a DARPA program on air and water purification from 2000-2004 that focused primarily on thermal and catalytic disinfection technologies. In 2005, MesoSystems was acquired by ICx Technologies and ICx was then acquired in 2010 by FLIR Systems.
In 2011, Dr. Call returned to start-ups and has led CleanSpot, Inc. to an exit and become a founder in Zeteo Tech, Inc.. He has 19 years of entrepreneurial leadership experience and has over 35 issued U.S. patents.
